Migration has been a part of human history since the beginning of time. Every year, all around the world, thousands of people flee their homes due to war, persecution or poverty in the hopes of finding shelter in Europe.


To raise awareness among secondary school students and encourage them to reflect on the harsh reality that their Syrian, Afghan, Sudanese and Somali peers are forced to endure, Amnesty International visited schools to hand out posters featuring a Syrian class picture, where students and their teacher are depicted in a traditional set-up - except for the fact that they are all in coffins.
